Colin Gavigan

Colin Gavigan is a Master's student in Clinical Social Work at Bryn Mawr College completing his clinical internship at Main Line Counseling & Wellness Center. After beginning his career in business, Colin found himself drawn to work that focused on understanding people and the ways relationships shape how we see ourselves and the world. That curiosity ultimately led him to pursue a career in psychotherapy. Through his work in adolescent and adult behavioral health, he has supported clients through a wide range of life experiences, helping shape the

approach he brings to therapy today.

Colin believes many of the patterns people develop begin as ways of protecting themselves. Rather than approaching these patterns with judgment, he believes therapy begins with curiosity. It starts by taking the time to understand how these patterns helped someone get through life before exploring whether they still fit the life they want to live. He strives to create a space where clients feel welcome exactly as they are, whether they are having their best day or their hardest. To Colin, therapy is an opportunity to better understand yourself, discover what

matters most to you, and build the clarity and confidence to move forward. Whether you are navigating a major life transition, feeling stuck, or simply hoping to understand yourself more deeply, he hopes to help you find a clearer direction and begin moving toward a life that feels more like your own.
