Lizzie Broome

Advanced Master’s Level Intern

Lizzie (She/Her) is an advanced master’s level intern, currently pursuing her master’s degree in clinical social work at Bryn Mawr College.

Lizzie offers a safe and supportive space for clients to share their stories and unique experiences. Through active listening, compassion, and respect, Lizzie provides a safe space for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Lizzie believes the therapeutic process is a collaboration driven by the client’s needs and goals, and that the therapist and client are partners in the healing journey.

Lizzie takes a holistic, strength-based approach, working collaboratively with clients to help them access their strengths, expand possibilities when feeling stuck, and practice being present in their daily lives. She integrates a combination of therapeutic approaches to help her clients reach their goals, such as mindfulness training, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and strength based perspectives. Her areas of clinical experience and interest include anxiety, depression, grief and loss, eating and body image concerns, stress of life transitions, and ADHD.

Lizzie believes deeply in the power to grow and change, no matter the circumstance. She holds a core belief in our human capacity for resilience and in the process of recovery. Lizzie welcomes the opportunity to join and work beside you on your journey to self-discovery and self-compassion.
