Lucy Unsihuay, LSW
Hello! I’m Lucy. I’m a Licensed Social Worker with experience supporting individuals learning to cope with stress, manage difficult emotions, and navigate life changes. These adjustments can be exciting and challenging, so my goal is to create a space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered.
I think real change comes with curiosity and compassion. Together, we can work to build coping skills and explore how life experiences have shaped who you are today. My approach is integrative and insight-oriented, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (if you have any questions about what each of these mean, feel free to ask!).
I have experience working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, perfectionism, relationship challenges, and life adjustments. In previous roles I have supported graduate healthcare students and individuals within the criminal justice system. I am currently working under supervision towards licensure.
Outside of my therapeutic work, I love spending time with my friends, family, and cat, Delilah. I also enjoy running (short distances!), reading, going to concerts, and traveling to new places. I look forward to meeting you!
