Nicole Palman
Advanced Level Master’s Level Intern
Nicole (she/her) is pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania with a concentration in Military Counseling. Outside of the clinical space, she has experience working in the research field, with prenatal and postpartum parents, in alternative education settings, with environmental conservation, and as a community advocate for people involved in the criminal-legal system.
In your sessions with Nicole, you can expect to meet with a real, genuine, compassionate person. She is action-oriented and will gently empower you to take steps toward your goals - and stay with you along the way - as you bring awareness to the interconnected nature of various systems in your life. Together, you will discover the power in cultivating a life that is aligned with your values. Nicole will incorporate evidence-based elements of mind-body healing, cognitive interventions, and attachment-based theories into your collaborative work.
Nicole wants to know you as an individual (no matter the place you’re in) and support you as you work toward your goals.
Nicole stands for health at every size. She offers affirming care for LGBTQIA+ individuals, as well as their biological and chosen families. She is committed to antiracist action within and beyond the counseling space.
Nicole is available to work with individuals, couples/partnerships, families, and groups with a particular focus on:
Young people (depending on the young person’s age, family sessions may be a necessary part of our work together)
Individuals in a prenatal, postpartum, or parenting/caregiver phase
People who are involved in the criminal-legal system or have family members in the system
Military service members, veterans, and their families
Sessions are offered in our Haverford office, virtually, or outdoors for “walk and talk”/nature-based sessions (which can be tailored to individual interest and ability). Depending on what feels right for you, Nicole can incorporate mindfulness, music, movement, and/or art into your time together.
