Roselyn is a licensed professional counselor who has worked in community mental health treating adults, adolescents and children for the past 5 years. She earned her master’s degree from La Salle University in 2012 in Professional Counseling Psychology. She is certified by the Beck Institute to provide Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and has been trained to treat PTSD using Prolonged Exposure Therapy by the Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania.
Roselyn believes in meeting the individual where they are and implementing empathy and unconditional positive regard to empower and motivate the client in the therapeutic process. She is also a big proponent of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients reach an understanding through evidence based practice, how their thoughts effect their feelings and impact behavior and working collaboratively with clients to find alternative and more positive ways to look at situations, alleviate symptoms and live fuller lives.
