Sam Daniels, MSW, LCSW

Sam (She/Her/Hers) received her Master of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania in 2018 and her Bachelor of Arts from Brandeis University. Sam has extensive experience providing clinical services in community mental health and school settings. She has focused on working with children, adolescents, and young adults along with their families. Sam has also been a part of many IEP teams, supporting students receiving special education services.

Sam incorporates techniques from Play Therapy (including Sandtray), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. The core value of her practice is that a safe, authentic, and empowering therapeutic relationship is the center of the work.

Areas of specialty/clinical focus include:

  • Trauma-subspecialty in sexual abuse and assault

  • Autism

  • Intellectual Disabilities

  • Depression and mood disorders

  • Anxiety

  • ADHD

  • School stressors

Sam has a warm, nurturing demeanor and, true to the pop culture trope about therapists, often wears cardigans. She continually strives to practice from an anti-racist, LGBTQ-affirming, and neurodiversity-affirming lens, and to have a practice accessible to AAC users.
